Vision and Mission

With the community partnerships with ACOM and Southeast Health we are able to help equip medical students with the ability to help their patients and themselves navigate grief.

As of the fall of 2026 ACOM students are accredited with helping plan the walk, writing resources phamplets, share communications, and help with evidence based research.

Some of the projects include equal standards regardless of socio- economic status or insurance providers.

They have also dedicated time to making funeral resources available for every families in need.

Students present our Perinatal Bereavement Program to create awareness and upon graduation help educate the new communities they encounter as they move on to their residency programs. They have been a valuable resource and advocate for women’s health and share tenderness with families in need.

    With a vision for building something meaningful, and using her voice and education to advocate for women’s health Gabriella has a calling to Obstetrics. Her truthful, kind, and bold nature are gift to the medical community as she has a passion to equip women with the vital information they need.

    Our annual event continues to be an encouragement to our area and has grown to have attendees from all over the Alabama and Florida. Doctors, nurses, counselors, and families all come together with a common thread to connect and remember.

    Over the years we have delivered honor chords to our graduating seniors at the the high school and collegiate levels as a thank you for the time and commitment they have shared with the bereaved community.

    As the walk approaches each year we have extra meetings to make sure we are ready to be present at the walk. Connie has created a memory book of each year that will present at the walk if you would to look through just a portion of what God has done over the years .

    2023 was our first year delivering honor chords to our high school seniors and graduation medical student for their contributions to the awareness and the bereaved community.
